Blogs really do work! Since I started this blog, I have recieved e-mails from librarians interested in Charles Leadbeater's book on Web 2.0 and physical space (see link on the right of this page). Most respondents are currently undergoing the process of chartering, so I thought it would be a good idea to include their chartering blogs on my blog. If anyone wishes me to include their blog on becoming chartered, I will be happy to oblige, thus increasing our little community.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to my blog - I think you already had before this post though - I'm not sure. I know I have a link to you.
I'm finding the blogging pretty good too, its a nice way to keep in touch with whats going on and is making me feel a bit less lost in the Chartership world.
I do read a lot more of other people's blogs than I actually comment on, maybe I should comment more often so people know they are being read?
I tried joining a Library-type group on google groups as well but, ans this is quite an admission to make - I joined and now I cant find it again to read it! Oops. I dont think it was very well used to be honest, it was listed as having low activity and there were not many posts on it.
Have you tried any other ways to contact Chartership types?
Hi Katharine,
ReplyDeleteI'm only just beginning this blogging lark so I haven't come across Google groups yet. To be honest, I'm still at the stage of enjoying discovering other blogs like your own. I know there's a chartering mailing list but I think you are already on it. I just enjoy putting stuff on the blog to see what interest (if any) it generates.
After Katharine's stirling rabble-rousing efforts, can I jump on the bandwagon?
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to use my blog to focus my Chartership thoughts. Trying, but failing...
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying reading other people's chartership blogs over the last couple of months and started up my own last month - 'the widing road to Chartership'. I have been a bit haphazard about posting in it but 'm getting a bit more dedicated now and I think it would help me to be part of the 'group' of chartership bloggers!
I discovered your blog through another perosn's blogroll. I'm planning to set up a blogroll myself now.

ReplyDeleteHi Alice, Hi Michael.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking at my blog. I'll add links to yours. Hopefully you'll get more traffic than me. God I wish I wasn't so bland.
